CLASS EXPERIENCE DEPOSIT: Pumpkin Patch ~ Design Your Perfect Pumpkin!

You design it, we make it! Your $50 ticket is a DEPOSIT towards your final piece!

Important Note: Pumpkin Patch is NOT a hands-on class and you will not be permitted to assist the glassblowers with their glassblowing. If you would like to take a hands-on class, please browse our list of All Classes. 

Here at the Glass Academy, we know the importance of an idea and the connection it has with its creator. That’s why we are proud to welcome you into our space to share your ideas with us! Relax, have a beverage, enjoy yourself, and trust us to bring your idea to life in a beautiful pumpkin.

Your $50.00 ticket is a deposit that will go towards the item you and our team design. Custom work comes with custom prices ~ the majority of customs will fall in the $100.00 - $200.00 price range.

You will design the basics of the pumpkin. You will choose your colors, shape (round, gourd, squasher, etc.), pattern (solid, spots, sugar, Van Gogh, encased, etc.), and stem design (heavy curl, light curl, hanging, wrapped, etc.). You will also have the option to pick the artist's brain for their suggestions and favorite popular styles!

Need help deciding where to begin your design? Don’t worry.  We have a large gallery full of one-of-a-kind work you cannot find on our website but you can use as inspiration. Our team of glass blowers love to work with you to create something you will love!

You are more than welcome to stay and watch everyone's creation as its made. If you have a strict timeline, we ask that you please let your host and glass blowers know at your arrival so we can plan accordingly.

If you are purchasing additional tickets, or buying this as a gift - after placing your deposit, we suggest purchasing a $100 gift card per person, which will cover the vast majority of design options! Gift cards can be purchased here. Please let us know in the comments section at checkout which Pumpkin Patch date/time and for whom you will be putting the money towards.

RULES & WHAT TO EXPECT

• This class is designed to run for approximately 1 hour.
• Drinks are available for purchase at The Michigan Room beverage counter.
• It will be hot in the studio in the summer months and cooler in winter.  Dress in layers for ultimate comfort!
• Please arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork, meet the other students, and browse the gallery.
• Before you can take your beautiful glass creation home, it must cool from 1200°F to room temperature. Once completely cooled, your glass keepsake is ready for pickup from our studio OR we can ship your item directly to your home if you live in the United States.
• You must be at least 16 years old to participate in our classes. However, those under 16 years old are welcome to purchase a guest ticket and watch the class.

 YOUR CLASS TICKET PURCHASE ALSO INCLUDES

• A behind-the-scenes tour of our glass studio and Batch Gallery to educate you on the many styles and shapes of pumpkins that can be made during your class. During the tour, you may draw inspiration for your design from styles and samples showcased in the gallery. Our talented staff can assist you with suggestions and upgrades to make your glass pumpkin truly unique and original to you!
• A coupon for 20% off all items in our gallery. This coupon can be used exclusively on the day of your class or the day you pick up your class product (if you choose to pick up your finished product).
