16th Annual Glass Pumpkin Harvest Fest at Dearborn's Glass Academy
Showcasing Family Friendly Live Glass Blowing Demonstrations, Handmade Glass Pumpkins, and Seasonal Decor at this 16th Annual Event.
October 5 & 6th and October 12 & 13th in the Dearborn Studio from 11-4pm both weekends, the Glass Academy proudly presents the "16th Annual GLASS Pumpkin Harvest Fest Show & Sale". A blend of unique, original, one of a kind handmade glass pumpkins available for purchase alongside family friendly live glass blowing demonstrations taking place in the studio’s 14,000 square foot hot shop demo floor.
The Glass Pumpkin Harvest Fest Show & Sale draws people from around the state and Canada to purchase custom glass pumpkins, pumpkin table top lanterns, and many other handmade glass pumpkins in one-of-a-kind styles and shapes that cannot be found in stores. This is a highlight of the fall season, it's a family-friendly event with free street parking and admission. The event runs throughout October, with LIVE demos on Saturday and Sunday of the first two weekends. Pumpkin prices start at $38, with various sizes and styles to choose from.
A Pumpkin for Every Taste
This year’s 2024 Signature pumpkin is called “Spicy Orange Sparkle” and features a unique color blend of oranges with reflective, sparkling copper color spots. A sparkling golden curl applied as the stem makes each pumpkin unique.
Rising Kites Organization
For each 2024 Signature pumpkin sold, the studio will give a donation to Rising Kites, a local charity. We will present the check on our weekly YouTube Glass Blowing show "The Gathering Point".
Rising Kites was founded by Matt & Danielle Grandholm in 2021 after they experienced an at-birth diagnosis of Down syndrome when their daughter, Sammie, was born. The mission of Rising Kites is to celebrate the gift of Down syndrome by bringing encouragement, resources, and support to those within the Down syndrome community.
