A Tale of Two Cocktails

Hosted by The Michigan Room ~ Inside the Glass Academy

Limited seating, get your tickets now!

Join us on September 18th from 6-8:30pm for a hands-on cocktail class where color, creativity, and flavor come together inside the Glass Academy.

This class is to make cocktails and WATCH a glassblowing demonstration. If you would like to try glassblowing, you may click HERE to sign up for one of our glassblowing courses.

Join local cocktail historian Beth Vandergrift in the Michigan Room at the Glass Academy for an evening of stories, cocktails, and a live glass blowing demonstration.

We’ll begin by learning to make (and then enjoying) the classic Moscow Mule, while discussing the history of the mule and how vodka came to the US. Then we’ll move to the Hot Shop to watch the artists create the very glassware we’ll be drinking from in the class. We’ll return to the Michigan Room to make and learn about the second cocktail of the evening, Audrey Saunder’s Gin-Gin Mule. Guests will leave with the recipes used in the class, an appreciation of glass making, and a few more stories to share! Must be 21+ to attend.

This is not just a tasting — it’s a guided, interactive experience where you’ll build each cocktail yourself while learning techniques you can easily recreate at home.

During the class, you’ll also experience something you won’t find anywhere else — live glassblowing happening right alongside your cocktails!

As you mix and sip, our glass artists will be shaping molten glass in real time. You’ll feel the heat, hear the tools, and witness the transformation from liquid to solid — adding a layer of energy and artistry that turns your night into more than a class… it becomes a full sensory experience tied directly to what’s in your glass.

Every drink is served in handblown glassware made right here in our studio, turning each pour into part of the art.
