Hey, I’m Jake, your main instructor!
What’s up, glass community! My name is Jacob Nordin, and I’m a second-generation glassblower who grew up in the hot shop. I’ve refined my skills by working at various studios and taking courses around the country.
Currently, I work alongside my family running our hot shop, gallery, and in-studio bar — bringing together the perfect combination of community, education, and experience.
While it’s not always the case, I typically lean more toward craft than contemporary art, and I think that positions me perfectly to teach this course. From tumblers to goblets, single pieces to massive production sets, I’ve produced a wide range of drinkware over the years.
