Customization Information
The Glass Academy creates a plethora of delightful and functional glassware that make perfect gifts or items to add to your personal collection! We understand customers may want to change some of the colors, shapes or styles, so this is your chance to customize a work of art with us.
To customize a Glass Academy favorite, the minimum order of a $500 order is needed as well as giving us a 4-6 week turn around time to create your magical item(s). This option applies to products we already carry such as beverage ware, mugs, seasonal items and current product lines featured on the website. Â Additional commissions are also accepted, and you can schedule an appointment to discuss your needs by filling out the form below.
Every custom piece will be hand signed by the artist and dated with the year produced.  These items are handcrafted and will show signs of their uniqueness and originality, making them a true keepsake.

About the Art & Artists
All of our work at the Glass Academy is handmade by Chris Nordin and Jacob Nordin, along with the craftsmen they train to assist, in our Dearborn, MI studio. We would absolutely love to hear your idea and have the opportunity to make something unique for you or a loved one! Custom pieces are a collaboration between you and the artist - please expect to leave room for artistic expression as we all have our different styles, talents and quirks!
We always do our very best to bring your ideas to light in the artwork we create. Colors, shape and style all vary depending on many factors that affect the state of the glass and the working environment. We know how to bring your dreams to life and we will sketch a design for your approval prior to crafting the glass. All sales are final due to the unique nature of this process.
All ideas are encouraged, but the glass artists at the Glass Academy reserve the right to decide to pass on a project that does not fit the aesthetic or business model of the company.
We appreciate your understanding, and look forward to working with you on your project!
