When the pandemic first hit a few years ago, we had been feeling rather sluggish. But here at the academy, that just wouldn't do. We decided to take that stagnant energy and turn it into something oh so cute!
These fun-loving glass slugs are a one-of-a kind, born in the hot shop, keepsake of this time in history. And now they are a Glass Academy staple!
Each slug is about 3-5" long and fit into your hand like a long lost friend. They are smooth and round, and very vibrant in color. They are super cute to have around as little buddies inside a potted houseplant or on a book shelf, or even a fairy garden outside!
Each one is handcrafted showcasing individual expressions and personality.
The eyes are made with murrinni, a small glass bit of multiple colors. We attach these to the surface of the slug from the pulled points to give each slug its own special pair of eyes. They remain slightly raised and protruding, just like a real slug!
Colors vary on each slug, so each one is truly unique. We know you will just love them!
