In this unique experience, by the ambiance of the glowing furnaces, you'll turn a gather of molten glass into a dazzling keepsake mosaic heart! Whether you decide to make this glass heart with your beau for Valentine's Day or gift it to someone special, this handcrafted masterpiece will radiate love and meaning for years to come.  

Come experience Valentine's Day in a new way at the Glass Academy! This special experience has a few extra surprises included, so read on!  

We begin the day with a tour of our studio and gallery to make you feel right at home and comfortable in our warehouse space before the class begins.  After class, enjoy free beverage (of any kind) to enjoy at our Michigan Room beverage counter or as you stroll the gallery with your special gift of 20% off any gallery purchase.  Upon departure, you'll also receive a small goodie bag to take home as a special thank you for attending.

Buy one ticket and treat yourself, or buy two and treat your sweetheart to the Valentine's date of a lifetime!  

With our expert instructors, you'll melt colorful glass fragments of your choosing into a gather of molten glass. Then you'll mold the glass into the heart shape. 

Intimidated by the process?  Don't be!  These classes are designed for YOUR success! We supply all the tools and techniques. All you need is your colorful imagination and a willingness to try!

You will make one glass heart per ticket purchased. If you would like to make more than one, you are welcome to purchase additional tickets in the same time slot. Or come back again; our classes are repeatable!

We offer a $12 guest ticket which must be purchased if you'd like to bring a guest to watch your class, or if you don't want to make a product, but would like to watch the class from the "audience". Everyone in attendance MUST purchase either a class ticket or a guest ticket. This allows us to prepare the space accordingly. When purchasing a guest ticket, please put the desired class date and time in the notes.

• The materials, tools, and instruction to make ONE glass heart per class ticket. 
• A demonstration of how to make a glass heart from one of our class instructors. 
• A behind-the-scenes tour of our glass studio and BATCH Gallery, where you’ll learn more about our successful working art studio and the glass-making process.
• A coupon for 20% off all items in our gallery. This coupon can only be used on the day of your class or the day when you pick up your class product (if you choose to pick up your finished product in-person).
• A drink ticket for ONE free beverage of your choice from our beverage counter in The Michigan Room.

WHAT TO EXPECT, FAQ, & RULES

• Please arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork, meet the other students, and browse the gallery.
• Classes are typically 1 to 1.5 hours long. However, the duration may vary depending on the intensity of the project and class size.
• This is an entry-level class. No prior experience is necessary!
• Closed-toed shoes are required and we suggest that you wear cotton, as it will be hot in the shop.
• Before you can take your beautiful glass creation home, it must cool from 1200°F to room temperature. Once completely cooled, your glass keepsake is ready for pickup from our studio OR we offer free shipping directly to your home if you live in the United States.
• You must be at least 16 years old to participate in our classes. However, those under 16 years old are welcome to purchase a guest ticket and watch the class.
• We have a beverage counter and bar in our space. We do not allow class participants to drink alcohol before their class. When your class is complete, head to the bar to chat about your experience!
