Whether you choose to display your globe on a sunny window sill or utilize it as a stunning paperweight, your one-of-a-kind handcrafted glass keepsake will bring you joy for years to come.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e In this updated class, students learn glassblowing basics and create their very own Meditation Globe. Students will choose their own Twisties and have the option for sparkle glass. Using the marver, students incorporate several colored pieces of glass into a “gather” of molten glass. They twist the glass using tweezers to manipulate the color, creating the captivating design at the center of your globe. From there, students can leave it as is, add bubble traps, cut the glass to create two spirals, or use the tweezers to pinch a design into the color. A second dip into the furnace (aka \"a gather\"), will encase the inner layer of color with molten glass. Finally, using a specialized tool known as the block, you'll meticulously shape and smooth the glass to achieve the perfect rounded orb.
