Coin ($20):Using a bronze stamp, push and indent the molten glass blob into a flat disk with a D on it for Detroit. A simple technique but it gets your hands working with hot glass and into the studio for a new for experience.
Big Bubble Blow ($20): (note: this class is on hold until July 2020)Glassblowing on your list? Then this is the FUN way to release all your hot air and see how big you can really blow the bubble. As the glass becomes paper thin, it’s a great chance for a photo op before you crush it in the studio recycle bin. While no actual product is made to take home with the Big Bubble Blow, all the science you learn when doing this will keep you excited and engaged. And- it's a great introduction into any of our next level classes.
This class runs approximately 1.5 hours. In addition to your project you will receive; a teacher demonstration, tour of the studio and behind the scenes information about special projects, time to shop in the museum quality gallery, and if your lucky, introduction to the studio cat, Batch.
*Please note:the glass must cool from 1200 degrees to room temperature after crafting. 48 hours after your class, your project will be available for pickup in the studio gallery.
