For the past 30 years, Michigan has celebrated a rich tradition of glass art each April by hosting special gallery events, workshops, lectures, and tours in and around Metro Detroit.  This year, the Glass Acadmey celebrates with a theme of nature and the beauty that surrounds it. (See The Art of Spring event.)

“Each year we look forward to creating something different, yet affordable, for our patrons—to purchase as collectibles or as gifts for friends and family,” said Chris Nordin, glass design artist and co-owner of the Glass Academy.  “For glass art enthusiasts and collectors, April is also Michigan Glass Month so this is a great time to see what we have to offer.”

New this year, we will be donating a portion of our proceeds to the Greening of Detroit in an effort to show support for Earth Day which is April 21st.
