Is all the glass at the Glass Academy made at the Dearborn studio?

Yes, we take great pride in our work so we highly advertise that it's Michigan Made.  At times we can have up to 12 craftsmen working on a variety of jobs that produce all the work you see in the studio.  From stained glass to lamp shades, from large installations to pumpkins and ornaments, all work is produced in our Dearborn studio under the guidance of the founding partners Chris Nordin and Michelle Plucinsky.

How do you determine what price to sell the glass for?

Our costs are based on a few things; artist training and experience, cost of materials and fuel, and artistic and market value.  We are highly trained professionals with many years of on-going experience and we feel our products are the best glass pieces you can buy!  We also have a high standard of craftsmanship that we balance with Artist value so you are getting a unique, affordable keepsake for many generations to come.  We also highly value the fact that all our glass is Michigan Made and made in the USA.

Handmade, Authentic Products

Every purchase made from the Glass Academy is hand crafted in our Dearborn studio.  Expect some slight cosmetic flaws, air bubbles, and tool marks.  These are common occurrences in hand crafted glass and should be celebrated for their unique appearance!!
